Personal Narrative-Bailey Bear

Improved Essays
Everyone has someone that brightens up their worst days. Mine is a dog and her name is Bailey Beaver. She may be a fluffy, white, three pound Maltese, but she has a huge personality. When you come home from a long tedious day, she will bark a welcome. Go to a room and sit on a couch, she will run up to you and force you to pick her up. Close the door on her; no problem, she will scratch on the door until it is opened. There is no other dog like Bailey; she comforts when in need of consolation, energizes when in want of reviving, and loves when in desire of affection.
I am a positive person to those around me. I can accredit that to my family, but I can also accredit that to Bailey. When I wake up in the morning and roll over, Bailey will lift her leg up for a belly rub without opening her eyes. This recurring moment of the day never fails to put a smile on my face. As I leave the house for the start of school, Bailey barks until she can bark no more. With these two events in the morning, it starts me off in a positive mood. This mood lets me be contagiously cheerful to others at school.

Bailey has taught me this virtue in life. When she goes outside and sniffs at the air, she does not rush things and she takes it all in. Bailey can enjoy the greater things in life, and because of her, so can I. That is why I let her win, so that I can enjoy watching her fluffy white legs thrust into the air with all her might and it is a cherished moment I share with my

The cryogenic chamber that housed my body, seemed to be in an isolated place on an unknown vessel. From inside, the constant rumble and clang of debris that interacted with the hull was disturbing the absolute silence. My heavy body and fogged over memories must have been a result from the deep slumber. I looked out the window and realized that the that earth was not in sight; inside the control room connected to my room, a counting device showed a sign of several light years. I assumed the device ought to be the distance of our travel.…
