It had been only thirty minutes that my aunt was gone and the kids were already out of control. There were toys all over the living room and my cousins, Devon and Nate, were jumping on the couch singing their heads off a Disney movie song.
I wanted the boys to calm themselves, so I said : “Guys! We are going to put costumes on and take some pictures so I can send them to your mother. Are you tempted?” As I expected, they liked the idea.
It took at least an hour in which Devon and Nate were putting clothes on, taking them of and starting over and over again before they finally liked

It was about 3:45 in the morning on a Sunday, where I found myself and my excited, wide-awake, good-looking boyfriend driving down a dark, eerie road to a hospital that was 61 miles away. Those 61 miles felt like light years to me I didn’t feel right all day today, I had a feeling deep down that my body was telling me that it was time. I was as nervous as I possibly could be, however, I had to remain completely calm because I could possibly be in labor and our first baby could arrive any time. So There I was, just Sitting there in that fast moving car, patiently waiting for the top of my big-ole belly to become super tight, tighter than a rubber band wrapped around your stomach 1000 times.…

I was in a bank with my mom and she was talking to the person at the counter. During this time, I had wondered off to go on an adventure. I had gone inside an elevator pushing a button not even knowing what they did because I was so young.…

Many people claim they do not believe in urban legends, however, some urban legends have the power to make people stop and question themselves. What if these legends that are passed down from generation to generation by the word of mouth or electronically have truth to them? A few years ago, when I started to babysit, my older siblings told me about one of the most notorious urban legends, the Babysitter and the Man Upstairs. This legend is about a teenager who is babysitting, when a mystery man unexpectedly calls from inside the house. With my knowledge of this legend, I will provide a summary of the story, basic research, and an analyses of the legend.…

This has strongly made an impact on my life and how I am perceived by my friends and others. My mother was very consistent with boundaries however; she was always open to discussion. My mother had furthered her education in child and family services and therefore, implemented many skills in our home.…

Last summer I began babysitting for a couple that I have never met before, which was very nerve wracking meeting them at first, thankfully I got the privilege of taking care of two sweet kids. This was a very fun summer, we went to their grandparents pool, played football in the front yard, and on rainy days I would play videogames with Jacob and do whatever crazy things Molly had come up with. Babysitting has definitely taught me many different things such as how to take care of and watch children like a hawk, how to discipline them by teaching them the right things to do, and how to be creative by finding different things to do. Watching Molly like a hawk is a necessity because she is very reckless and likes to “explore” which means climb…

She’s a mom, yet also a #1 fan. Always running around all day, busier than a busy bee. Even though she has a great deal of work, somehow she can always find time to relax, listening to music that leaks out of our grand piano. She hasn't missed not one piano recital or competition that I have been to, always clapping and cheering for me at the end of the performance. For every competition I’ve been to, she’s always there in the beginning, telling me that it’s okay if I don’t win or get a prize.…

One of the mothers brought her newborn son to the group for the first time. She confessed that they spent a little extra time in the hospital due to the previous conditions and her son weaning off her medications. I found the phrasing of “my medications” interesting.
