I was 6 or 7 living in Pekin, Illinois. I met my two best friends, Tyler and Matthew, at my school, Willow. They always stood up for me when someone tried to tease me or bully me.
Tyler’s birthday party was coming up, we were all very excited. Tyler was planning to have the birthday party at the bowling alley.
Do you know the green building you see as you come off the Pekin Bridge? Well that is the bowling alley called Roxy’s I used to love to go bowling when I was around that age. And that is also the place he Tyler wanted his birthday party.

We ended up going to Hardies right behind Roxy’s. I remember always getting chicken strips, with barbeque and ketchup. ( Hardie’s fries were disgusting so I cried about that.) Mom still made me eat the soggy fries that they served. I hate their fries, I hate their milk shakes, I hate their burgers, and I hate them all together.
My eyes were puffy and I was wearing the ugliest pants ever, but I was still looking forward to the party. The birthday cake was one of the only things that was on my mind. As soon as I walked through the door I went straight to the restroom to wash my face and get the puffiness off my face.
I got walked with my mom to the booth where you get your bowling shoes. The employe asked if I was apart of Tyler’s party, I said I was. I put on my shoes and went over to the tables where the balloons were set up at.
When I was on my way over there my pants fell down. Thank Goodness nobody saw but I hurried and pulled them up. The whole time I was pulling my pants up because I let my mom pick out my pants.
Life Lesson: Never let your mom do the shopping by herself. Go with
