Personal Narrative: Arranged Marriage

have been saying it has something to do with our family’s wealth. Others have spread the horrible rumor that he’s dying rather quickly and wants to give someone “like me” a chance at love. Like me? What is that even supposed to mean? Sure, I’m not tall or stunning or even that gorgeous, but I’m not exactly the outcast of our town. I’m fairly confident that with a good dress and a wonderful pair of heels, I could get almost anyone to marry me, including someone as amazing as Tyler. Anyway, love shouldn’t be based off of looks but instead on the connection between two people.
Lately, many of our neighbors have come by to share their opinion of my arranged marriage, but I won’t hear of it. I’ve never really disobeyed my parents, and I wasn’t
