Anger
Freshman year in High School I joined the Porterville High School frosh-off basketball team. I wasn't the best one on the team, but I did my part. I was always intimidated by all the other girls on the team, this intimidation was controlling me, and it wasn't allowing me to be the person, and player I truly was. I was never loud, rough, nor did I ever play dirty so it came as a big surprise when I got into a fight with another player. It was against our rivals the Moanche High School girls basketball team, so the game was already intense, I remember the situation as if it was yesterday, I was playing defense grading this girl and all through out the night she was playing dirty, elbowing me every chance she got. I’ve finally had enough and started elbowing her twice as hard, pushing her with by back. Later that night the ball rolled right by me, so I dove to grab it the same girl who has been giving me trouble all night did the same she got there before I did but that wasn't going to stop me from getting my ball I dropped to the ground just a few

I didn't think I was doing anything wrong while feeling this emotion. I was so focused on being angry at the time that I didn't realize I could have hurt the other player mater of fact I believe that’s all I wanted to do. Anger has a way of taking over not only your mind but body as well. That why many people tend to get physical while being angry.
During the situation that took place that night, I wasn't in any way bad mouthing this girl, but I sure got the message though that I was not happy with her. I would scrunch my eye brows down giving her my meanest looks and I never let my eyes off her, I would grunt her way with so much attitude that I not once did I had to tell her anything to demonstrate my feelings towards her. My body language was enough to get through to her and the audience that was was

All I wanted to do was enjoy my day on a Freshman retreat to Camp Tekawitha. On a hot day I got back from my retreat around 5:10. Jaclyn and I talked to our coach two days before the retreat and told her that we would be getting back around 5:00 and probably won't be able to make it to practice. We told our coach around 5:00 because our teachers didn't know exactly what time we would be getting back to school. Since practice was over at 5:30, Jaclyn and I thought it wouldn't be necessary to go to practice.…

As the sun plummets to its end on a Friday evening, in a small town just north of the capital of Texas. Businesses become calm and streets become lifeless, as an entire community packs into a stadium anxious to see their team go into battle versus that week’s opponent. The level of excitement that has been accumulating all week, rings throughout the stadium as everyone longs for the opening kickoff to heal their Friday football fever. As a four year old I wasn’t able to realize that I was witnessing the greatest football team to ever come through Burnet High School, as they demolished every team that was brave enough to step in front of them week after week.…

The next couple of days I was in the dumps thinking about how, if it weren't for me, our team could have been the tournament champs, and nothing anyone said would convince me that the loss was on my back. A few days later, we had practice and when I arrived no one appeared to be mad at me even the coaches. After all, I'd lost us the game and the championship, and the had to be disappointed about not having a shot at the finals.…

Austin Davis has been a horrible person to be around since the beginning of training camp this summer. Things started out by asking me to quit because I’ll never get playing time, cursing at me, and now have escalated into him attacking my credibility with coaches. I have gone to coaches before asking for resolution, but nothing has happened. So what happened today (10/13/15) was that I said “I don’t understand why my coach starts a kid that loses his mind every 5 seconds” in a tweet, but I immediately deleted it, however someone had already seen it and informed Austin about it…

I was never a sporty kid. For the majority of my childhood, my hobbies have included reading, playing video games, and other generic nerd activities. If you had asked me if I wanted to play a sport, I would have laughed at the prospect, so I surprised even myself when I answered yes to my mother’s inquiry about joining my school’s new flag football team. I worried about it for the weeks leading up to the first practice, but eventually I decided “Why not? It may end up being fun.”…

When she first signed me up to play in our town rec league, all of the men who ran the league couldn’t believe she didn’t sign up to coach. One of the guys at the table then turned to me and told me he was there when my mom scored the winning basket at the Boston Garden to take the team to the state championship game.…
