I came back to school with a fresh start and with a new sense of motivations inspired from my loss. I was able to complete the semester with a 4.0 GPA and came to a decision that I had been dwelling on, which was to join the IB program. I couldn't have been happier with the decision that I made.
My father and brother's passing has made me more connected to the hardships of others. An effect of this can be seen from my vast involvement in community activities. I become more involved with community service, ranging from Spanish Workshops, mentoring, and even rehab visits during Love Atwater events. I have done multiple events in my community because I believe that everyone deserves a second chance. I believe that when I help out in the community people will be motivated to better themselves because there are still people like me that like to assist
