I lacked simple confidence, I would sit in the back of the classroom and not say a word. I figured if they can’t hear me, then I wouldn’t exist to no one. There was only one place where I felt more confidence about who I was, the pool was my, how you would say comfort place. I was able to swim to the very bottom and stay there for countless minutes thinking about my life, just enjoying the water on my skin and around me. Sometimes I would wish that I could just stay in the water forever and not have to attend class. My life in general is not very great, my mom was married to this low life that treats her like his own slave. I have dyslexia and ADHD,which sucks because I’m not able to read English without the words looking like they are being …show more content…
It was a school day, I just got into English class and sat down when I noticed that our teacher was not here and that we had a sub named Ms.Dodds. I have never met this lady in my life until today, yet out of everyone in the class she calls on me by my name, which by the way I never told her who I was. When she called on me and told me to read the board I tired to make out the words, but I was unable to. I honestly never felt so humiliated in my life, luckily that was the day we were taking a trip to the museum. Like usual I stood there, with my earphones in not giving a care in the world of what Mr. Brunner was saying, when Ms. Dodds taps me on the shoulder and says that me and her need to talk,so I follow her into this empty room. I turn around and find her standing on a platform at least 20ft in the air, she keeps asking me about a lightning bolt and I keep telling her I don’t have it. This lady turned into a creature that was very very horrifying, the creature she turned into was known as a fury. Grover and Mr. Brunner come into through the door “ Put him down or I swear I will rip you to pieces”! Said Mr. Brunner I looked at him like your just a guy in a wheelchair how are you gonna kill this thing. The fury dropped me back onto the floor and flew through a glass window, “ What the heck did that thing want?” “why did she keeping asking me about a Lightning

It was the first day of 8th grade at Nagel Middle School, I was alone and friendless on team 8-1, most of my friends from last year were on different teams. So during lunch I ended up sitting with Jenna Walsh a girl I knew from book club last year, her twin Alex and another girl I had gym with the previous year, Samantha Beinke. Although it was quite sunny outside, the temperature in the cafeteria felt like it was below freezing point. I turned towards Jenna about to voice my opinion on how the school should not have the fans on when the AC was also on, when I noticed 2 girls headed toward our table.…

As a military child, I left the United States with my family at the age of five and spent eight years living overseas at duty stations in Japan, Germany, and Italy. We traveled extensively during vacations to over 20 different countries. As a result, I claim proficiency in ordering french fries and apple juice in several different languages. Although moving has brought me some misfortune, and many people would say that living overseas qualifies as adversity, I never felt it was such.…

A.I believe the most challenging aspect of working in protective services would be not letting your career consume you physically and mentally. Knowing that there's such a great need out there and you're not always able to help when you want to,would be the most challenging aspect to me . You wouldn't think that it affects you, but it does. The emotional strain of the job and the desire to want to help everyone can be overwhelming.…

Beginning junior year, I occupied myself with the most constructive investment in my life. My daily routine was bland, but oddly hailed as the ultimate path to victory. I was learning in school, but the learning lacked meaning. Plot lines and mathematical formulas were unavailing ideas, which I tepidly regurgitated. I concluded that a life permeated with monotonous toil was not worth celebrating on my day of judgment.…

Technology has developed so much over the years that we have relied on it so much. Technology is used in pretty much everything we use nowadays. Living in a neighborhood was the greatest advantage, but having kids the same age as I was even better. There was never a time we weren't outside: rain, shine, snow, miserably cold, or even scorchingly hot. There was 4 of us: 3 girls and 1 guy, all around the same age.…

This track season was the best time of my life, but it went by way too fast. I had no clue what any of the events were, but I caught on very fast because I started training with my cousin, He set the High School record for discus and still has it today. We started to work on throwing shot, and I got very good because we would work on my form for hours and because of that I was the best thrower the whole season. If you look at me compared to other throwers, I look very scrawny. In small-town Mississippi, I was always taught that being Conservative was the only way to be and that thinking any other way would go completely against my religion. That being said for the majority of my life I believed I was a Republican until I turned 16 and realized that I agree with very little of what Conservatives do. I now consider myself to be an Independent who leans liberal and the thought of changing my views is pretty unfathomable at this point. However, if I really had to contemplate doing that I would have to consider my few objections to the typical view of Liberals, and that would mostly have to deal with my thoughts on abortion.…

Many people go through life thinking that intelligence is static. Many think that people are simply born with certain skills; they either have them, or they don’t. After all, the only way to be smart, is to be born with it, right? Or is there more to it than that? It only makes sense that the brain, being like any muscle in the human body, would work identically to say, a bicep; the more you condition it, the more it will thrive, and the more it will expand.…

For thirty minutes, I sat down in my computer chair in my room and tried to relax as much as possible. I turned off my phone, all of the lights, and made sure that I was going to be uninterrupted for the allotted time that I would be trying this out. Once I got comfortable, sitting up right, I began focusing on how I was going to meditate. I had never done this before; and maybe the closest thing that I have ever got to meditating was daydreaming. So that is what I began doing.…

As a young child who grew up in the countryside, I’ve always been surrounded by nature and animals. I was born and raised on my grandparent’s old dairy farm in Glenburn, North Dakota. My mother and I didn’t stay there for very long; we had to move often due to her job as a dental hygienist. It was difficult for me to leave all of the friends I made and transfer to new schools, but I adjusted to the new lifestyles fairly quickly once I got used to doing it numerous times. We stayed in an apartment in Fargo, North Dakota until I got into the third grade and then made our home in Wahpeton, North Dakota.…

Throughout her life, my mother incessantly made sure she completed all her tasks, prioritized, and, all in all, stayed “on top” of all her duties. Summertime comes around, vacations start to be planned, and my mother starts prioritizing, devising, and organizing every aspect of the trip.
