In my earlier years of school, I dreaded going to school and I wasn’t skilled in public speaking. I had a terribly hard time talking to new people and often avoided social situations. These being among the traits many consider unfavorable, I passed up on great opportunities that I had been given due to their social aspect and the potential for me to embarrass myself. Starting my freshman year of highschool, I was aware that adjusting to an independent lifestyle where I worked a job and made my own money was one of my main priorities. Acting quickly, I applied for a job at a retirement home with opportunities for those in need of independent living, assisted living, and memory care facilities, Oceanview.
