At a branding, My cousins, siblings, family friends, and I jumped over the white wooden fence. When it was my sister's turn, she sprinted through the fresh smelling, short cut grass, leaped and landed, then she fell backwards, and let out a short almost whimper, almost like a puppy. Then everyone ran over, including one of my cousins who was carrying two red solo cup filled with sweet smelling vanilla ice cream, for me and her then my uncle carried her over to a chair. Looked at her foot and realized that it was broken. “ are you okay” all of the adults said in almost unison.“ no… it hurts a … lot. “ Jolee replied. And that is when i had a pretty good idea, that she would need lots of help doing normal tasks. The next thing i knew the barbeque was over, And our grandma, and grandpa were on the way to the hospital with jolee, in a grey truck, with her in the …show more content…
About a week later, she still couldn’t take part in doing simple tasks, being it required hands both hands, because she still had to hold onto her small silver crutches and didn't need a wheelchair, although she had really wanted one. Because of that my mom and I were helping her however when our mom was at work, and my grandpa was with my brother, I helped her out. I belive that when family needs help, you help them, even if it's with something very, very simple. I did things for her as simple as helping her grab her things she wanted to buy, pushing the cart, grabbing her crutches, putting stuff back on the shelf because she can be very indecisive, or even packing a lunch for her, or helping her get into the car. Although her ultimate goal seemed to be trying to annoy me as much as possible, and trying to boss everyone around, as if she was a Queen, and because she was a 9 year old. After the majority of each time I helped her i heard a quiet “thank you.” come out of her

On the way to the accident and emergency department in the hospital , my sister and her friend told me that It wasn’t as bad as I thought and that it probably would be diagnosed as a bruised foot. Hearing that, I stopped crying and manned up until I got diagnosed with a broken foot. While getting the plaster cast on almost my entire leg I cried, to distract me from my pain the nurse asked me which color I wanted the plaster cast to be . I could choose between blue and pink she said. Little did I know that she was a liar.…

Beginning junior year, I occupied myself with the most constructive investment in my life. My daily routine was bland, but oddly hailed as the ultimate path to victory. I was learning in school, but the learning lacked meaning. Plot lines and mathematical formulas were unavailing ideas, which I tepidly regurgitated. I concluded that a life permeated with monotonous toil was not worth celebrating on my day of judgment.…

Over the duration of my senior summer I was allowed to experience many wonders as I transitioned out of one segment of my life to a new one; however, possibly to greatest experience out of the entire time period of my summer was my family's trip to six flags. We began planning for the trip months in advance saving money, gathering supplies, and making reservations. We toiled through this segment of planing making sure that all of the details of the trip would be perfect. Once all of our details were lined up ducks in a row and bags packed as if we were to stay for a month, we began travel on the an interstate that was as busy as an ant nest just before winter, as in when they begin to store food, but I digress we weaved through the traffic,…

Sometimes the best opportunities come from the most challenging situations. When I was in sixth grade I stress fractured my hip. Of course, this was a real disappointment just like it always is when any young, athletic kid hurts him or herself. However the timing of it couldn’t have been worse. This happened right at the beginning of my ski racing season, right when all my friends and I were anticipating how fun the upcoming season would be, and whether we would make it to Championships or not.…

I still have nightmares about the week when I didn’t have a phone. In my senior year of highschool, my phone got stolen and it took about a week to get a replacement. That week was the longest week of my life. I found myself actually feeling sad and depressed without my phone, which is quite pathetic. When I would go out with friends, I realized just how much of our “hanging out” time actually consisted of us sitting in the same place, but in different worlds.…
