I rode the bus every day in middle school and would interact with a few people who also lived in my neighborhood. They were in no way my friends, but the circumstances had left us stuck on a bus for 30 minutes with a different group of students who normally wouldn't interact. One girl was very religious and we would eventually ease into a logical debate about religion. Every afternoon as we rode from the school into our old neighborhood. In my earlier years of school, I dreaded going to school and I wasn’t skilled in public speaking. I had a terribly hard time talking to new people and often avoided social situations. These being among the traits many consider unfavorable, I passed up on great opportunities that I had been given due to their social aspect and the potential for me to embarrass myself. Starting my freshman year of highschool, I was aware that adjusting to an independent lifestyle where I worked a job and made my own money was one of my main priorities.…
