Personal Narrative Analysis

Since I was born, I lived in a middle class house on Van Buren Ave. in Loveland Colorado. Both parents were together for a while, fighting frequently, until they split up when i was three months old. For 6 years I saw my dad every other weekend, hoping one day I would be able to live with him, until that day came. That day changed my whole life in ways that are difficult to explain.
During the seven years I lived with my mother there was good times and there were bad times. Everything was good at first, we were a happy family for a couple years until my mom met this guy that was deceiving and acted like someone he wasn't. As time went on we slowly figured out the man he really was. He eventually brought drugs into the house, and my mom unfortunately got curious. As time went on my mom became more and more addicted. Which made me want to leave, until my mom had my little sister.
At times it was rough having to cook dinner for my family because my mom was unable to, due to choices she made. I even had to changed my little sister

I went and looked what was going on like any curious little boy would. As i step into the living room I see four or five cops with guns standing around my mom constantly asking questions. Questions like, “Where is he?”, “When was the last time he was here?” At that point i knew that my mom's boyfriend was definitely not who he seemed. As a wave a fear unlike anything i have ever felt came over my body, i looked to my left to see my dad standing there talking to a police officer. He sees the absolute terror in my face, picks me up and says “everything is okay, we are going home.” Before i left i went to say bye to my mom, i found her lying on the kitchen floor. She was as red as a tomato, breathing into a paper bag, on the brink of a total freak out. As i walked up to her i saw how terrified she was, so i leaned down and said “don't worry momma it will be alright, i'm going
