Days on end of constant pacing, hard work, and unnecessary social interaction. That’s pretty much what I see school as being in a majority of the time, but luckily, every year we get a 2 week vacation. Those are practically blessings for students and I’m sure teachers too. I never do anything but still, it’s a nice time to work on whatever I don’t have time to during school. I have a fairly packed schedule during the school year, so the 2 weeks are a nice time to catch up on sleep and T.V. shows.
Although I did say I use this time to catch up on sleep, I was necessitated wake up every morning at around 6:45. For one, my dad was required to drop me off to my moms while he went to work, but after that I was ordered to stay awake to watch my brother while my mom went to work. Of course at around 10:30, my grandmother would retrieve us and take us to her house and monitor us, but even then my grandfather would direct me to get up and become active or clean about the house if I tried taking a nap! Although I wasn’t very fond of this part of my recreation, there were also a few favorable proceeding that took place in this time period.

I also got to catch up on some chapter books and comic books that I’ve been wanting to read for a while. Of course, this wasn’t all I did during the break, because I also practiced a lot. In fact, I memorized an entire piece that I have until April to complete. Not only that, but on a different instrument I learned new songs randomly in the break. I’d like to call all of this productive, but the only scholastic thing I’ve done the entire break was the 4 mallet solo I was assigned to learn. I did finish learning it though, so in a way, it was fairly

15 Minutes of Bliss Break, a nice rest in the middle of classes. A resource to some a time to play for others, for each grade to me break was different. In sixth grade 20 minutes outside throwing the football around. In seventh grade full games of two hand touch were played out in front of the library. Eighth grade was a choice between throwing the football or balling out in epic foursquare games.…

Unlike actual school I got my things done in the time that was given to me. During school I would procrastinate a lot especially during class, I could not stay concentrated and the last thing I ever wanted to do were the worksheets that were given to me. In my second period geometry class I would just write the assignment down but not actually get it down even if I had most of the class period to do it. Summer school has taught me how to use my time wisely and if I get my assignments done earlier then I have more…

Since that break I’ve been better about getting things done on time. I’m starting assignments days before they’re due and working on them so that I’m not working on them at two o’clock in the morning the day before it’s due. I’m studying more than a day in advance as well, which has helped my test, assignment, and quiz scores in the last week or…

The past two weeks I have worked at northshore maternity and national womens community midwives. During my week at northshore it was incredibly busy and understaffed. I also remember thinking at times, where has the midwifery gone? We were so busy rushing around trying to provide safe and quality care to the women, but that fact is I feel we were too busy, with too larger case loads to provide true midwifery care. I cared for many day 1-2 sections, women with large blood losses requiring blood transfusions, a secondary PP and there was a woman with confirmed H1N1 on the ward who was unstable – but HDU wouldn’t allow her to be transferred around, and many other complex situations that really challenged my competence, knowledge and practice reasoning.…

My ability to write and understand myself as a writer has changed because of the many subjects that were talked about in class. Such as, grammar to ensure that sentences are effective and using grammatical structures in your essay. Make sure to have paragraphs relate to your thesis statement. Have good punctuation in your essay like commas, exclamation points, and periods at the end of each sentence. I didn’t pass this class the very first time I took it, so I hope maybe this time around, it was worth it to learn from my past mistakes.…

My break was actually really boring. I started watching Jane the Virgin on Netflix because I had nothing else to do. During the break, I worked most of the time which was boring. The main thing that has surprised me is how quick assignments need to be done. When I was in middle school we got lots of time to work on essays during class. The first paper I wrote in high school I felt very rushed and worked for hours just to make sure I could get it done. After that essays became much easier and I don’t need to spend as much time on them.…

Perched on the raft, I was paddling as hard as I could. Six others and I were traveling down a huge river with plenty of sharp rocks and a strong current. Before I knew it, I had fallen off into the choppy water. I bobbed my soaked head out of the water to see my friends all laughing. I smiled back as I climbed myself back up onto the raft.…

As a young child who grew up in the countryside, I’ve always been surrounded by nature and animals. I was born and raised on my grandparent’s old dairy farm in Glenburn, North Dakota. My mother and I didn’t stay there for very long; we had to move often due to her job as a dental hygienist. It was difficult for me to leave all of the friends I made and transfer to new schools, but I adjusted to the new lifestyles fairly quickly once I got used to doing it numerous times. We stayed in an apartment in Fargo, North Dakota until I got into the third grade and then made our home in Wahpeton, North Dakota.…

When I wrote this essay I was in my new home, my door room. I often refer to my dorm as my house, which my friends despise but I do it anyways. I always say “Want to come over to my house?”. Writing this essay in my new house allowed me to reflect back to my old house in Rotterdam. The physical setting that I was in made me feel extremely nostalgic for my old room at home that I shared with my little sister.…
