I want to first start off by saying how sorry I am that the court move was rejected, I wish you luck on the circuit court. I got your letter Tuesday last week, which was when my finals were for my accelerated classes, I hope you won’t get mad at me if I make this letter a bit shorter than my previous ones, but I am a little tired of writing so much for school. You will be happy to know I got all A’s in college so far, mainly because college is definitely easier than high school. I also now have no school Tuesday and Thursday, which means I can sleep in and write more (yay). However, that is were the good news ends. I don’t think mom or dad has told you yet, so I will. Dad’s hip has been hurting, not the one he didn’t have replaced but the one …show more content…
Now, on to your letter. From how it sounds you have a lady friend you know talk with? Cool, happy to hear it! I don’t think you should send a picture because mom or dad might see the picture when they put the letter together in the envelope. You are welcome to send it, but that’s if you want mom and dad to know. As for pictures from us, mom said she was sending you some, so you will be getting something soon. About that Rachel Stieringer girl, I could not figure out what you wanted me to look up about her from your letter, but I did find out that she got arrested for letter her baby smoke pot. So, if that is the person you were looking for she is arrested it seems because of that. Really I’m not to sure how to reply to your letter, you wrote me a philosophy of life, one that I almost completely 100% agree with, lol so you won’t get an argument out of me. And I’m not really in the critical thinking sort of mood so I can’t really dive too deep into my own ideas at the moment. Also, I was not to sure what you would want to know about the characters from my book, maybe getting some questions that you had about the characters and then sending it back to me might help me better explain certain …show more content…
By the way, the answer to that cat riddle you gave was pretty cool. A little background to the question by the way, it is a quantum physicist theory, one that has never been proven since it was created in 1935 by doctor Schrödinger. The theory is unanswered and no real answer can be given because to give an answer would to make sense of a quantum realm. Pretty much, a quantum realm is where atoms are, and here is why no answer can exist, from what I know. Electrons spin around atoms, but they are so fast that they cannot be actually seen by any instrument or by anyone. This is the basises for the theory. If we remove an item from anyone’s or anything’s point of view and make a scenario where it could be killed, such as in the cat experiment Schrödinger setup, and ask the question, what is the states of the cat? The only logical answer is that it is unknown. But, quantum physicist dictates an answer using the election theory. That theory is pretty much that anything unseen can still exist, much as how an election can be everywhere around an atom but never in one spot. So, based off this idea, the cat before anyone can see it or know what the cat is, is both alive and dead. The theory suggest that before someone checks on the cat and determines what happen to it, it does not exist but at the sametime still is in

Beginning junior year, I occupied myself with the most constructive investment in my life. My daily routine was bland, but oddly hailed as the ultimate path to victory. I was learning in school, but the learning lacked meaning. Plot lines and mathematical formulas were unavailing ideas, which I tepidly regurgitated. I concluded that a life permeated with monotonous toil was not worth celebrating on my day of judgment.…

Technology has developed so much over the years that we have relied on it so much. Technology is used in pretty much everything we use nowadays. Living in a neighborhood was the greatest advantage, but having kids the same age as I was even better. There was never a time we weren't outside: rain, shine, snow, miserably cold, or even scorchingly hot. There was 4 of us: 3 girls and 1 guy, all around the same age.…

On the sixth of May, in nineteen ninety eight, there was a major change in my family. That change was a baby named Tyler. I haven’t been around for very long, but I have witnessed many things. In my 17 years, I have witnessed the fall of the twin towers, the election of the first African American president, Bin Laden captured, and many other things. I have learned that family comes first and that you should enjoy every moment with them, because everything can change in the blink of an eye.…

On a snowy Christmas day at Sunrise Peak, there is a whiteout at the acme; snow is falling heavily, visibility is low, and the wind is unforgiving as it clashes against my bare face. I slowly start my descent down the mountain. As I begin to cut back and forth in a comfortable manner on my board I slip up. I try to turn to follow the slopes path, but I turned too sharply. The front of my board digs into the snow abruptly and causes me to plunge forward.…

Regardless of the fact that I have lived near the beach all my life, it’s not often I go on a long walk on a beach similar to the Smith Point County Park; nor have I witnessed the effects of a storm to such an extent in my life. A few of the major sections of the beach have been devastated due to the recent storms. These storms caused waves that have done remarkable damage to the point that I was having difficulty walking from the incline it created, days later it remains to cause an issue. The most chilling of all is how the dunes are slowly being worn down, from the constant bombardment of large waves from storms like Hurricane Sandy. Even though hurricanes are known for destroying our homes.…

My right foot slams on the brakes as my ears register the sound of metal on metal. I throw my car into reverse, before jumping out to assess the damage. An otherwise pristine, navy blue BMW is blemished, two chips of paint missing to reveal the white plaster underneath. Acutely aware of the crowded parking lot, I revert to autopilot, parking my car with the careful precision I had not employed since my license test six months earlier. I slowly crawl out of my car to peek at the scratch one more time.…

A week into Fall, and the temperature was still lulling at 90 degrees, like the mosquitos that swayed comfortably above the bayou that ran for miles outside my English II class. The bayou would eventually diverge by my neighborhood. In class, the philosophical discussion on the Power of One by Bryce Courtenay also diverged. If Peekay could reach compos mentis (full command of one’s mind) after years of training, epitomized by a drunken bar fight, when would we ambitious students scrawled across plastic chairs and creaking wooden tables, reach compos mentis? Was it in adulthood, after college, or after the birth of our first child?…

This article is, in my opinion, an example of how personal narrative can sometime confuse the author’s purpose. In order to frame her arguments she discussed her experiences with her family, and specifically how she was born a twin to a stillborn sister. She explains her families lack of coping and how her family effected her life, but I failed to focus on the overarching idea that she wanted to get out because of how distracting the stories from her personal life are. Instead found myself thinking that her story was strangely personal without much justification for why it was this way. While the point of her article, the balance between truth and respect, was somewhat present overall, the sections of personal narrative that she decided to include muddled it.…
