Personal Narrative Analysis

I am describing on the process on how I completed my story and the steps I took to complete it. A few of the goals I needed to do was that I needed to do booktracks to make a beginning, middle and end, and I also had to type it on google drive and before this happened I had to figure out what lead I should use.

By being a critical thinker, when I was in the library, I had to look at all kinds of leads that would help me in the narrative that I presented in the front of the class.

How I was being academically and personally accountable was that I managed to finish it on time and I also managed to present the story in front of the class on time.

By being a communicator, I asked the teacher for help, and she said I had to fix my mistakes

To track our progress, we kept a writing chart in a folder and after every assignment we recorded our score and a comment on how we could improve. From that day forward, I worked even harder to improve my writing. I kept in mind the comments I wrote and what I wanted to accomplish. On the last assignment, I received the highest grade in the class and a perfect grade. This experience taught that even though you fail at something never give up because you can come out a lot stronger.…

Coming into English 101, I really did not know what to expect. This was my first college writing class so I had no idea what it was going to be like. In high school I would have considered myself to be a decent writer, not the best or not the worst. I would never impress anyone with my writing skills but I could still come across as educated on my topic.…

However, I didn’t know how to present the storyboard in a creative way. Finding a way to present the storyboard was challenging as I kept changing my mind of what story I wanted to do and how I should create, it. Time was managed well as I used lesson time wisely but I also .completed some of it at home, The strengths of the task was that I was able to take some inspiration from the original story “Goldilocks and the three bears” and make it similar to mine as I took aspects from it and put it on my storyboard. Therefore, this worked well as it was similar to the original but in a modern way. A weakness from doing this task was coming up with a story to focus on and being able to change it.…

Reflective Narrative 1 When I was thinking about what to do as a senior project, I knew that I wanted to do something helpful for the school, in an uncomplicated way. Since sophomore year, I’ve been involved in the school’s peer mediation program. It is a very valuable program in the school, so for my senior project I wanted to learn more about it as well as expand it by recruiting underclassmen and leading mediation trainings. The steps involved in planning this project included meeting with my mentor several times a week to discuss recruiting strategies and to plan trainings that I would be leading.…

Throughout much of my time in school I have always been assigned some sort of writing assignment; that could be a two or three page essay or just a writing assignment, but I have always felt confident in my work when they are turned in. In my works that I have turned, I have always received a quite acceptable grade until the first day of school my junior year. I signed up for the American Studies course with Mrs. Gilly and that day I realized that my previous works for other classes would not be acceptable for her standards. At first, I had underestimated her and her class, but that thinking did not last long. Within a week of her class, I had started on the path for excellence.…

When I first entered this classroom I did not believe I was a skilled writer, and knew I lacked certain grammar skills needed in order to succeed in writing. As we were told in the first days of class the course work that would be done by the end of the quarter I lost more trust in myself of doing well with all the papers. At that point I knew I would have to make strides to better my writing every single day in and out of the classroom. Before anything in this class finding a topic presented a struggle, and this was because I felt I needed an easy topic to find information on.…
