I’m late, somewhat. Ahhh. Don’t even know where to begin, well the first time I met y’all, didn’t really think about it much. Drew’s neck, Alex-big body, Alexa-quiet, Alexis-total opposite of what I know of you now, Matt-further surprised me, Moira-Her laugh, Paige- Quiet, Eman-African brotha. The days and weeks and months went by and shit. I just began to miss y’all when I was at games, or just in class, or at sweet sixteens, or just doing anything. It wasn’t just like we were best friends, I spent the most of the last 4.5 months with you guys. Moira, you showed me that no matter how much work and shit there is, you should always have the motivation to get it down. Matt, you were one of the best players on the freshman team, no lie. To see you grow and somewhat mature these past months has been so funny and remarkable at the same time. I’m proud to see where you’ve come to where you are now and also thank you for the tremendous amount of laughs you’ve brought. Drew, I’ll never stop with roasts and jokes and also the asking of food. But thank you, it’s funny because you don’t realize that in a way these past months, you were like an older brother for me. Thank you also for the times you paid for me (even though I didn’t want you to ). I don’t think people truly recognize how nice of a human being you are and how passionate you can be when doing things you love. Alexis, idk where to start other than to say thank you. For the rides especially (even though sometimes I feared for my life ), but also for just being you. I vibe with your mindset and even though you can be a child at times, most of the time I watched you mold into a big sister for

Thank you for being my TV buddy and pretty much the only one who wanted to hang out with me after dinner. I really enjoyed watching movies with you and comparing our knowledge of old TV shows (The Twilight Zone with Rod Serling was definitely my favorite). I also liked watching UFC fights with you and learning how to punch and make a proper fist during the commercials. I enjoyed your riddles and jokes, especially when you used the riddles on some unsuspecting victim. I also appreciated that you always were ready to accomodate my weird eating habits (my tendency to only eat salads and fruit).…

At 38 degrees latitude north and 92 longitude west, lies the rural farming town of California, Missouri. This town is rich in cornfields, small businesses, and many churches of all denominations. From the quiet fields, to the busy town square this city is home to 4,341 people. What I believe makes California stand out from the other towns is that it has the “oldest continuously operating fair west of the Mississippi” (Kunze). But the thing that impacts me most about this town is the California High School, it’s staff, and the students.…
