The past school year was harder than I expected.I had a lot of challenges to face and two of them were very hard, well one of them was and that one was to make good grades. As the year progressed I had many more challenges but they were not as hard as most of them and they weren’t that important.
The most exciting part was the field trips, but I didn’t like the fishing trip, because it was to hot for me I like the cool air with a slight breeze. But I did like the bowling trip, because it reminded me of when me and my dad went bowling together. A lot of my friends are moving so I won’t have as many next year, but i'm looking forward to being in 7th grade and I can’t wait till school is out so I can go to louisiana, but i'm still going through

As a military child, I left the United States with my family at the age of five and spent eight years living overseas at duty stations in Japan, Germany, and Italy. Walking into the school on the first day I thought this year is going to go by so slow, but looking back at it now the year has gone by faster than I could ever imagine. I got involved with many things this year because I didn’t work and I didn’t have anything to do other than cheer. Cheer was one of the best decisions I made, and looking back at it I wish I would’ve done cheer all four years at Riverside. I grew close to people I never would’ve talked to last year and made many memories that I will never forget. In school I decided to take it easy course wise, I wanted to focus on keeping my grades up.…

As I look back into my year, I would say that it was a pretty interesting one. This is my last year in Barrow High School, and I think that I really need to just give it all and end this with an exclamation point! It’s almost Christmas break and the first semester is about to end as well. I think my grades are not that bad, I guess. I even still remember the first day of the school year, and I remember the first day during my fifth period class.…

What do Leonardo Da Vinci, Bill Clinton, and I all have in common? Active participation in procrastination—a practice frowned upon in today’s society, but not even Noah of the Ark could have prepared for the imposing amount of water on my already heavily-saturated carpets. You would think that a mini ocean within one's bedroom would lead to a rotten seed. On the contrary, delaying the much-needed waterproofing of our house gave root to and was the direct catalyst for the independent adult I am today. The flood damaged most of my possessions, left my room dangerous and smelling of mold, and devastated what I called home, but it couldn’t have been a better example of a blessing in disguise.…

This year was insane. As I reflect upon my year, it still astounds me that I managed to muddle through. It was calming knowing I had a few laudable and precocious mentors to help guide me through this year, for which they nearly made up for the actions of those inexorable people. Aside from the incompetent and avid acquaintances, many factors made this inscrutable place a little less scary. I can’t speak for others, but I loved this year, and truly wonder how I will be able to leave such munificent teachers, new-found friends, and an amazing curriculum behind.…

It was the end of summer and the beginning of fall. Mornings were chilly not too cold just enough to wear a light sweater; you could feel the cool breeze coming in waiting to settle in for the season.
