You may have noticed that it’s been awhile since my last post. I want to apologize for that, because I’m committed to providing quality content for my readers on a consistent basis. I hope that reading this blog adds something positive to your life, and it’s important for me to deliver on my commitment to you.
But the truth is, I haven’t been feeling motivated lately. I’ve had a lot on my plate at my job, and I’m feeling sapped of creativity and inspiration. When I get home, the only thing I want to do is relax in front of the television, and the snooze button calls my name every morning. I used to be filled with vision and purpose, but now I feel empty. I’ve been frustrated with myself because even though writing regularly is so important

I’m the only person who is capable of reaching my goals, and it’s time for me to figure out how to do that. Waiting for inspiration is a terrible way to live a creative life, and I’m determined to find a better path. Unfortunately, it’s difficult to create when your well of inspiration is running dry, so how can you fill them up again?
Fortunately, creativity is a renewable resource. I am on a journey toward motivation and productivity, and it’s one of the hardest paths I’ve ever had to travel. But I know I’m not doing this alone. Everyone has been through this to one degree or another – maybe you’re going through it right now. Does the daily grind leave you feeling drained and exhausted? Are you unable to make time for the things you really love? Maybe you’re struggling to figure out what your passions really are.
If you’re dealing with this problem, there is hope. This is not the first time I’ve gone through this, and I always come out feeling better on the other side. But that doesn’t make getting through this period any easier or faster. Unfortunately, there are no quick or easy solutions for general malaise and a lack of motivation. But there are things you can do, and many of them will recharge your creative mind and make you even better than you were

An idea that I found important in Stephen King's memoir "On Writing" is his statement "stopping a piece of work just because it's hard, either emotionally or imaginatively, is a bad idea. Sometimes you have to go on when you don't feel like it, and sometimes you're doing good work when it feels like all you're managing is to shovel shit from a sitting position." Personally, I found this statement inspiring. Often, I find myself creating excuses which keep me from writing. This is often because I believe a certain topic is hard to write about, or I am not particularly interested in my subject.…

Piggy and Ralph discovered the conch on the beach at the beginning of the book and use it to summon everyone after the crash or for meetings. Used in this manner, the conch becomes a powerful symbol of civilization and order. The shell governs the boys meetings, whichever boy is holding the conch is the only one allowed to speak. In this regard the shell is like a democratic power. As the island life escalates the boys stray towards savagery, and the shell loses its power and influence on them.…

A way you can work on becoming more like a creator is by not letting your ego get built up. In a victim, your inner defender may cause problems, by hiding behind lies as a defense. For example, if you tell yourself that the work is easy and that you will do it later, you are really lying to yourself to avoid struggles. If you are procrastinating, you are doing this because it is most likely a struggle for you. Victims are also inner…

These essays have helped me make connections I feel I never would have made without writing. I believe this is because I enter my deepest level of concentration when I write. This heightened level of concentration I reach when writing has allowed me to reflect on important areas in my life such as self-awareness and motivation.…

First of all, I would like to extend my gratitude to our professor Chris McEvoy for presenting us with the opportunity to conduct an interview with a startup, as it was a mind changing event for me. For our interview, the startup that agreed to work with us was Socio: A next level event experience. The main model of this startup is to make an event a fun experience and cut down the needs of carrying business cards. They developed an android, iOS app that helps user to share information with another user, just by shaking their phone when in close proximity, and it generates an accept request on each users phone, which when accepted shares all the information that the user has entered in their socio profile, which ranges from; cell phone number, multiple email ids, twitter account, Facebook account, etc. We were grateful to have Yarkin Sakucoglu (CEO and co-founder) and Andrew Price (Director of Sales), and we were able to understand their philosophy of startup, and what it takes to lead a startup from zero to a point where they are right now.…

For someone who has done any amount of creative writing, it should be clear, ideas are not easy to come by. Commonly, artists are plagued with hours of procrastination, yielding clean houses, empty inboxes, and plenty of watched YouTube videos, but not a word on the page. How do successful writers manage their time and ideas to create thousand page novels or Oscar winning screenplays? Temperance, or the ability to master physical desires, helps a writer control him or herself and stick to a solid work schedule. This quality of restraint allows artists to develop ideas to the fullest potential, increase their body of work, and have better odds at success.…
