In today’s society, cars are a common use of transportation. To have permission from the law to drive, the driver must be 16. Getting a driver’s license is where life change is common. The privilege to drive a vehicle allows people to go places faster without walking, taking a bus, etc. When I was a kid, I was not allowed to drive, of course. This restricted my freedom of where I could go. When I turned 16, my whole life changed. I changed completely as a person. There are many places to go and many more memories to make.
Before I was living, I did nothing at all. I would wake up, go to school, leave school, do my homework, eat dinner, and go to bed. Life was nothing but dust in the wind. Video games were a go to whenever I had a spark in me to do something. If I was to ever hang out with my friends, we would sit around my house sharing what we wanted so much. The privilege to drive gave me a freedom that changed my life. I went from being a shallow, boring person to an active, engrossed individual. I never played video games anymore. I was never at the house. I hung out with my friends everyday for hours enjoying life. Dirt roads, church parking lots, even parties were the new activities we loved to participate in. Driving had unleashed a new spirit which had taken over my body. My personality had loosened up and allowed more change. I used to be boring, but now I was entertaining a funny. Many memories came out of this change. Having a free personality allowed me to make more amazing memories. Memories like Tyler Garvin urinating on my floor. This spirit not only changed my life but the lives of other people around me. My family saw a new son, nephew, cousin, or grandson that was working, having fun, and loving family and friends even more.
