My example of this is when I got moved out of my mom’s house. In the very beginning I was hurt that my mom would have me move out rather than my older sister, who is 21. I couldn’t believe that I was “kicked out” rather than my more-than-capable older sister. I was sad and hurt by my mother’s choices. My usually loving and supportive mother, with whom I had lived with mainly all my life, had decided to get rid of me. What had I done? Did I hurt her? Was she just done with me? Later I realized she was just trying to help me better myself. Clearly I couldn’t

Technology has developed so much over the years that we have relied on it so much. Technology is used in pretty much everything we use nowadays. Living in a neighborhood was the greatest advantage, but having kids the same age as I was even better. There was never a time we weren't outside: rain, shine, snow, miserably cold, or even scorchingly hot. There was 4 of us: 3 girls and 1 guy, all around the same age.…

“Mia can you go walk A field and the corral?” my supervisor asked over the walkie-talkie as I finished bringing in fifteen excited dogs from group play. By this point I had already walked more than a dozen dogs, fed half the kennel, and taken out over a hundred dogs for one of their daily outings. I was exhausted and now I had to pick up a field full of dog feces.…

I have been through so many experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today. However, there is one experience in particular that moved me in ways I can hardly put into words. My freshman year of high school, I was given the opportunity to join the Klondike FFA Milk Quality Career Development Event team. Studying and competing in this event led me to develop a fighting hunger for winning. Halfway through my first year, I realized that I did not like to lose.…

In spite of the implications related to fasting, it has aided my to development to becoming a disciplined individual. As an attentive individuals, most endeavors I take come with an integrated beneficial factor such as health factors. Fasting for the month of Ramadan was an outlet to to becoming an introspective individual as it allowed me to be contemplative about the choices I make regarding the readily access to food and its effects. It was a typical Friday, school was off and the temperature was at its highest. At times like this I would stay home to avoid the sun; however, my friends insisted that I must join them for a soccer game and so I did. We used a garage as our field and aligned a few cement bricks to form the goals which we then typically argue about how un-even the alignments were. The sun slowly faded away as night approached so I excused myself and retreated home fearing the consequences of being breaking curfew.…

There was not a single piece of leather furniture that lacked an intricate map I had scratched into it with my grubby four-year-old fingernails. Every wall and flat surface had Sharpie murals of vast cotton candy skies and family trees made of dogs as soon as I discovered how to hold a pen. My parents never tried to stifle my creativity. They urged me to pursue artistry and offered every tool conceivable to develop my creative skills. Growing up hearing my father jam out on guitar and watching my mother lose herself painting silk (among the many other hobbies they both tend to), my inspiration never ran dry.…

I could relate to with this word because there was a time where I felt I was going through it and experiencing a sympathetic division. It was Sunday in the afternoon and my little brother, who at the time is ten years old, was having his soccer game take place. Crowds around the field were very tense because of the two teams being big rivals. As well as the crowds be tensed up so were the players with each other. While the game went by there were many times in which the players were having conflicts with each other, causing the anger around everyone to increase.…

There are not many memories I can recall of my childhood, and of the memories I recall, one stands alone as being the most profound. I was nearly five years old when my mother became pregnant, she told me I was going to be a sister. With three brothers the idea of a sister was exciting enough to fantasize about. The next memory of my mother's pregnancy was the night my brothers and I were in the living room and my parents were arguing in the back bedroom. The anger was frightening and we children would look at each other with questioning eyes.…

I still have nightmares about the week when I didn’t have a phone. In my senior year of highschool, my phone got stolen and it took about a week to get a replacement. That week was the longest week of my life. I found myself actually feeling sad and depressed without my phone, which is quite pathetic. When I would go out with friends, I realized just how much of our “hanging out” time actually consisted of us sitting in the same place, but in different worlds.…
