The weather was gorgeously sunny, but windy. The land was flat and we biked through a lot of green farmers’ fields, with cows blissfully enjoying their lunch of green grass. We also biked along canals and saw many people enjoying rides in their boats and swimming in the canals. There were neat, small brick houses that lined the canal with neat and tidy yards. The wind along the canals made it difficult and tiring to bike. Finally we saw the signs for Utrecht, the next city we were staying in. Unfortunately, just outside of the city, our GPS decided to stop showing us where we were on the map. We continued biking, and after a few wrong turns, found someone who directed us to our house. We had to ask a few more people along the way, but finally made it to the house. The house was very tidy and large; it had two televisions and two sets of very steep stairs. In the basement, there was a very tidy, cool kitchen that was very old and had a door out onto a patio. The man we rented the house from was very nice and had bought us all kinds of food which we really enjoyed after our long

The flicker of a lamp powered by a dimly lit lightbulb flashed in intervals onto the cracked concrete path. Scattered shrub shavings, dried pine needles, and petrified insects encrusted the crevices left in between the cement squares. The long and narrow path led up to a strong yet aged wooden door that stood at the foot of the house. The house held nine people, three cats, and many tribulations to come. At first glance the house might’ve seemed ordinary; it had five bedrooms, two bathrooms, a laundry room, living room, kitchen etc.…

Tiffin house was built in the year 2008 where employees work to take care of residents with alzheimers and dimentia. Here at Tiffin House i got to see how the house looks, talk to a few employees, and talk to the director on how the house flows and works. I walked in the first house called Tiffin House I, and when I first stepped inside i see a beautiful granite kitchen and a home like dining room table. I walked into the living room I suppose to call it, and I see residents sitting in recliners and sofas relaxing to the sound of calm Godly music coming from the old looking radio from the corner.…

Beginning junior year, I occupied myself with the most constructive investment in my life. My daily routine was bland, but oddly hailed as the ultimate path to victory. I was learning in school, but the learning lacked meaning. Plot lines and mathematical formulas were unavailing ideas, which I tepidly regurgitated. I concluded that a life permeated with monotonous toil was not worth celebrating on my day of judgment.…

Although the house lacked curb appeal, our real estate agent had put the address on the list of the showings adding to sales ads we already picked out to view, Since Dave and I were already parked in front of the place we politely agreed to go through the home. Upon entering a huge kitchen, bright and cheery, stretching the width of the house I was delighted at the size. Advertised as a three bedroom it fell into the category “bigger than it looks”. Each of the bedrooms a generous size, a deck out the back door and a front living room fit our needs to a T. A front enclosed porch, at best 18 inches from the sidewalk, plus a partially finished basement completed the layout of the home. Dave, not keen on the house, much preferred a stately 2-storey brick century on tree lined street.…
