In addition, thanks to the challenge, I had a chance to escape from my comfort zone. I was fully aware American Studies class was about writing, but its intensity still surprised me. I had never written much for a period of time. However, what stressed me out was the topics, in other words, I had to write about theme out of my interest. It always took me much time to write, and I was usually in the state of being nervous. Needless to say, writing itself was hard, and writing about things I did not possess any prior knowledge was a real challenge.
