Personal Narrative: All The Physical Fitness Benefits Of Running

I love to run. Fast. Slow. Urban. Rural. Alone. Together. I love to run competitively or in complete isolation on a wooded trail. The benefits of running for me are as much physical as it is mental. Running is my therapy, sans the waiting room and psych-sofa. Mentally, running gives me the time sort things out and gain clarity. The best feeling is when there is perfect tempo, perfect rhythm and complete focus while pushing my body past the pain to where my mind is in charge. Perfect Clarity. I could go on about all the physical fitness benefits of running, all the individual and group rewards. For me, running is all mental. Your mind convincing your body past the point at which your body says "STOP, you have had enough" and I keep on
