Personal Narrative: Algebraic Expression

Question 9 (National Assessment Program, 2016) was meet with eagerness and great confidence in my abilities. Although previously I have considered algebra as an overall topic, a weakness it was written as a step by step word problem. Being very straightforward to read and interpret, I was able to recognise meanings of all operations in both worded form and the alternative equivalent expressions. This allowed me to select the correct expression required and also demonstrated the ability to be an effective problem solver, keeping the expression clear and simple to avoid confusion (Morrison, 2006).
