Personal Narrative: Aigerim And My Mother

Even though everyone who I have met in my life has somehow influenced me and my understanding of the world, there are two people who have influenced me the most: my friend – Aigerim and my mother. We have never talked about our worldviews with Aigerim because it was not a topic which I enjoyed discussing; nevertheless, I believe that she is an agnostic, particularly, she believes in God, but does not follow any religion. She has mentioned God several times, but she has never spoken about religions. Aigerim is the kindest and one of the wisest person whom I have ever met. Her smiles make people happy and her hugs support people in every aspect. She helps and provides support to everyone no matter who they are. She cares about people and acts in a way so that no one would be at disadvantage. She understands that she will not be able to help all seven billion people on our planet, but she tries to help everyone. …show more content…
Before meeting her, I believed that everyone is selfish. I did not know what to do because I prioritize other people over myself. She once said: “Doing good is a chain reaction. Once you start doing good to people, they will continue it.” She has done good to me, and now I do good to others. I tutored math and physics to 8th grade student during my senior high-school year. I could see that she was smart, but she was convinced that she was not. I had been trying to help her through letting her know that I am confident and believe in her for one academic year.
