Personal Narrative: Advanced Drama And Musical Theatre

I am very involved both inside and outside of school. I am in Advanced Orchestra, Women’s Choir, Varsity show choir, Advanced Drama, Musical Theatre, Key Club, as well as partake in the schools’ Varsity Tennis and Cheer team. I have been in Orchestra sense sixth grade, I first started out playing the violin but two years ago I switched over to cello. This is the first year that my school has had an “Advanced Orchestra”. I have been first Chair and section leader for the cello’s for most of this year. We have done four concerts every year and get to go to contest and perform during empty bowl each, I really enjoy it all. Women’s choir and Varsity Blue are similar but not quiet the same. They are both tons of fun and I love being involved in them. Next is Advanced drama and musical theatre, is the class and performance group that does the fall musical, the last three years I have been apartment musicals and plays the major ones being Bye bye Birdie, A Piece of My Heart,Beauty and the Beast, The Secret Life Of Girls, and Big Fish. The productions that we do at FHS require many hours of hard work and the actors need to give it their all at every chance, between this and our amazing director this is what makes our shows truly come to life. Key Club is another club at school I am involved in. Last year I created a Valentines fundraiser and the donations went towards helping the group go to DCON. I have created toys for Amina’s shelters, done blankets for homeless shelters, raised money for Women’s shelters as well as raised money to build wells in third world countries. I have always pushed myself to do my absolute best in everything I am involved in, both school wise and activity wise. I am also very determined. I want everything I am involved in to succeed. That means working on my part outside of the scheduled practices, helping the other members with their responsibility, and doing absolutely everything I can to help the event to do well. Besides being hard working, determined, and involved, I am also working towards my future. For most teenagers it is hard for them to say they know what they want, but I know what I want.
