It was a normal fall day, the leaves were beautiful shades of oranges, reds, and yellows. There were a lot of pumpkins and the weather was perfect conditions for an asthma attack. I was about five and so I love to play, especially outside. I asked my parents if I could go outside and of course they said yes. So I started swinging and I'm having a lot of fun. The cool fall breeze felt good as I played on the swing. I started to feel my chest tighten, I knew what was happening but I didn't want to tell anyone.
I continued to swing for about ten more minutes. After that I went to go and play in the grass, that was a mistake. The grass made my breathing continually get worse, and that triggered an asthma attack. Being the stubborn little girl that I was, I didn't tell anyone. After about fifteen more minutes of playing in the grass, my breathing became unbearable. I started to panic and that only made it worse. I tried to get up and start walking towards my house, my legs were weak and I felt like I was going to pass out. By the time I got about halfway, my mom picked me up, carried me to the car, called the hospital and immediately rushed me into the
