Personal Narrative: Abby

I have been going to Northcape for 9 years, Kindergarten to eighth-grade year and let me tell you it’s been the most memory filled, surprise, and not knowing what is going to happen throughout those years, there's not really a word to describe this. I have had met some of the best people in this school and I have met my best friend and truly my sister here, Abby. Abby and I have been friends since day one but really haven’t gotten close to her since 6th grade. Even though we weren’t that close throughout the years, but I’ve known her forever and I would never ever like to change that. Abby has been there for me through thick and thin from when I couldn’t get up in front of the class to present something to just plain out getting a bad grade. …show more content…
Inside of school we are the weird ones, not the weird ones in a bad way, but in a good and positive way. Abby and I are literally inseparable because we are the best of friends.I’m always the first one on the bus and that’s happened since the first day. When Abby gets on the bus we are most of the time cracking up because we are always wearing the same type of clothing without even knowing the other person was going to wear that clothing. Abby and I always find a way to make each other laugh, even though we don’t even need to try we look at each other and burst out laughing we don’t even say anything. Once you get us laughing you can’t make us stop. If I didn’t go to Northcape I probably would have never met Abby and I’m happy that I went to North Cape because I met my best friend. If I would never have met her we wouldn’t have these awesome memories. Honestly, no one can do anything to separate us we are …show more content…
The whole thing that started our friendship was basically going to Six Flags. Sure, we talked and everything, but that’s when we really became good friends. Chrissy and I would do a lot of stuff together and we would have over 20 sleepovers during the summer. I’ve met many other friends in North Cape, including Heavyn and Cailey because they are just also weird. Heavyn and Cailey haven’t been in this school since kindergarten. Cailey came in 5th grade, 3 years ago, and Heavyn came in 7th grade, 2 years ago. I started talking to Heavyn over the summer before school even started and we became good friends. Cailey and I didn’t really hang out much because I didn’t like the people she was hanging out with, but when her friends started to ditch her we became really good friends. Heavyn and I get into the most meaningless fights, but we always get over them with a simple “Hey.” Cailey and I on the other hand, really never get into fights we just laugh at everything even if it pretty meaningless. I’ve met so many friends out of school these past three years, I’ve gotten out of my shyness shell a

The sun’s burning rays beat down on us as we dug through the layers of Egyptian sand and rock. We had only begun the excavation the previous day and had already uncovered one-fifth of the ancient pyramid. I, as well as a team of high-ranking archaeologists, had accompanied Sarah Parcak in an expedition to unearth a lost Egyptian pyramid. “How’s your section of the chamber coming along, Erica? We’ve just uncovered a new sarcophagus,” remarked Sarah as she passed by, carrying a large coffin.…

I was excited at first about the first day of school, but when I got there I was really nervous. I could not stop thinking about what if I do not make any friends? What will the other students be like? My first day of school was similar to August’s because I had never been to public school before either, and like him, I wondered what the other kids would be like.…

Every girl growing up has someone she loves at first sight; someone that instantly becomes a huge part of her life. When I say love at first sight, it’s not always about a lover. It can be someone you are just absolutely infatuated with, or a role model. I was fortunate enough to find a role model who truly makes me feel like an important piece to the puzzle of life. That role model is Jill Cochran, PhD, APRN-FNP.…

Ariyonna Underwood As one ages, one starts to become their own person, figuring things out for oneself and becoming more independent. But as for me, I was a very shy, quiet, and stay-to-myself kind of person. I didn’t like being around a lot of people or just doing nothing. When times got hard I would listen to my music and just be in my own little world. I would bottle up all my emotions and not tell anybody anything.…

Moving schools away from all of my friends should’ve been an appalling experience, surprisingly, it was a blessing in disguise. I went to Agnes Baptist Elementary from kindergarten to 5th grade and I had friends that I've known since I was 3. I loved it there and knew the school like the back of my hand. Everything was superior, like most good things, though there were times where they weren’t, I was harassed by a bully almost everyday, my grades were getting inadequate, and my mom didn’t want me to be a sad, disconsolate 7th grader at a new junior high. In the result, I moved and I went to Savage Middle School, a school that had 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.…

Moving here from North Carolina when I was four changed my life completely, I was away from my family who I lived with my whole life, thrown into a school with a bunch of kids who lived here since they were born and told to “make friends.” This changed the next 13 years of my life to something I can never picture not having. The first four years, both my parents had full time jobs and my grandma helped raise me a lot, she taught me so many manners and how to behave, she even ended up living across the street from me for 2 of those years, they were rough for my parents, new baby, just moving, having to find jobs, making friends, and getting food on the table for me. Thats where my amazing family came in, with bringing home cooked meals…

While searching through packed boxes, I found a journal with “Sarah, Katie, Ally - Best Friends Forever” written on the front page and all of our signatures scribbled underneath.
