Personal Narrative-Abby Blume

Abby Blume has been a major inspiration for me for the past several years. We went from swimming together my Freshman year to being inseparable. Last year, she went through an extremely rough patch. He father was diagnosed with colon cancer and the fear for her future was pressuring her. Throughout the entire year, she never once complained about any of it. At first, I was amazed at her disposition. I fully expected her to complain about how unfair it was. Eventually, curiosity got the best of me. On our way to get dinner, I asked her why she never complained. Her answer shocked me.
