I think all of us, the undead, still value life at least a little bit. There is this unspoken rule, not that it could be spoken anyway, but the dead stay away from children. I have traveled with hordes before and came across children. I had no desire to pursue or consume their flesh, and apparently, neither did any of the other zombies. No one even looked in their direction. We just kept stumbling forward, paying them no mind. The first time this happened I was confused, because I wanted to eat, and there was food right in front of me, but I couldn’t bring or even force myself to go after the children.
