We drove to the airport than we parked are car, than I grabbed two bags than my brother grabbed two and my sister grabbed two as well. Than we took a shuttle to the airport, finally there, the check-in line was long there were a lot of people. I was shocked that it was so busy, people were everywhere. We headed in the plane and I was so excited, as we waited for the plane to take off we loaded up some of our carry-ons. The plane was starting up and everybody was quite. As we waited a safety video came on showing us how we can remain safe though out the flight, as the plane started taking off peoples started looking out the windows as we got higher into the air my body felt weird, but afterwards I felt better. It was cool to be able to see how things got smaller the higher we got. When I was looking out of the window I saw houses, we were able to see the city, how it looked at night, after all the lights lit up. The sky was dark when we were going up but after we went higher it was bright and sunny and we were on our way to New York City. After we arrive we went to our hotel and we rest for a while, then we went out to eat at a local diner the food was great, the people was friendly, now that we was full we then started looking around New York. The city was big and busy nothing like Minnesota, there was lots of cars, trains, busses and bikes, it was noisy and kind of dirty and smelly compare to Minnesota, but at the same time it was a lot going on, lots to see big building, people singing and lots of different culture it was a big melting pot, it was …show more content…
So our first day was just walking around getting to know our area, before heading back to the hotel we decided to get some pizza, it was really good pizza. The next day we took the train to Manhattan, it was my first time on a train, it was crowded if there wasn’t any more seats people would be standing up holding on to the pole, because the train moved very fast. When we got to Manhattan we then took a ferry to Staten Island to see the Statue of Liberty it was huge, we took lots of pictures it was a beautiful day, when we was done we took the ferry back to Manhattan, now it was time to eat so we met up with my granddad and went to eat we had a great time. when we was done eating it was about eight O’clock so we went to Time Square to see all of the beautiful lights it was full of people, I mean PACKED! You couldn’t even move, but it was worth it, we saw people in custom like batman, spider-man, super-man and other superheroes, we stopped to get some ice cream than we went back to our hotel and sleep than we wake up in the morning than got breakfast than headed to see the World Trade Centre the twin towers, it was very sad for many of us, I got that airy feeling, the one that makes you almost cry because I thought about the people that lost their love ones, words cannot describe how bad I felt that is something that I will never

My childhood in New York City was very difficult for me. I grow up in a predominantly Hispanic Dominican decent neighborhood in the upper Manhattan area called Washington Heights. Washington Heights in the early 1990’s was the heart of the drug trade. At one point in the 1990’s it was considered one of the worst neighborhoods to raise a child. I remember in the news, the news anchor reported that New York City was recognized as the crime capital in the 1950's through the early 1990's.…

I jump up and grab the hand rails on the side. The pilot comes on and tells us to buckle up due to turbulence.…
