Personal Narrative: A Trip To Kiawah Island

I don’t think most people look back at their near death experiences and laugh, but I can’t help myself. Normally alligators would be danger enough, but the tide had different ideas. I had invited my friends Xavier, Henry, and Harrison on vacation to Kiawah, South Carolina. I’ve been going to Kiawah Island my whole life and I know the ins and outs of the island, one of which is the end of the island. It’s a little known place that requires one to time their trek perfectly with the tides as the walk takes hours and the beach can quickly become engulfed by the ocean. It’s almost like the land of the lost, boats and giant buoys wash up onto the shore and the beach is littered with perfect shells and sun bleached sand dollars. Giant ghost crabs
