A real page turner, Dr. Anderson’s book What’s your world view? narrows down exactly what world view is in your heart. Unsurprisingly, I have a strong Christian world view. At its core, Christianity seems so simple; the belief that; Jesus is in fact the son of God (a God who is perfect, perfect and communicates openly with us) would seem universal. The list of assumptions, it creates, however, begins to grow much larger. I was left pondering if this world view, I so quickly identified with, was actually me. The book captured a vast amount of material considering its small size. Although it grasped many areas of theism and belief, I wanted to test the world views against real life issues. How does my stance in Deism affect my opinions on abortion? Where do I stand when I agree with Materialism and God? I think his answer, leaving the defining of world views as just a matter of faith, left an emptiness to it. While believing in a god of sorts should effect your life and choices, does it really have that great a tug on

Many people don’t know what they want to be when they “grow up”, as for my mother she didn’t know what type of religion she wanted to be in when she “grew up”. However, she did know the basics that she believed in which was God, the Holy Spirit, his son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Bible that being said she considered herself Christian and raised me as a Non-Denominational Christian. Growing up Non-Denominational Christian is fairly simple faith and to me…

The only thing I would recommend is, look over the paper and make sure that the points you are making line up with the way they are said. When I first came to Dordt as a church shopping freshman, I became excited when I found out about the Church of Christ. Its website made it sound like its theology was the closest to the nondenominational church I grew up in, so I had it in my mind that this was the church I wanted to become a regular member of. One autumn Sunday morning, a friend and I put the address on the website into my GPS and set out. I was convinced that my GPS was malfunctioning when we ended up in the parking lot of a dark building that didn’t look like a church and didn’t even look like it was open.…
