I said yes and we dated for about a month and we talked all day everyday. One day, Austin did not show up for school and did not text me all day. I finished school that day and went to work at Dick's Sporting Goods. About an hour into my shift, my manager came up to me and told me I had to leave because there was an emergency. I immediately thought that something happened to my brother but once I walked out of the doors of my work my mom, friend Sam, and my other friend Kaylee's mom all grabbed and in tears and said Austin tried to commit suicide. He still had brain activity but the doctors said he would never come back so his parents made the decision to pull the plug. The next couple weeks following that were full of tears and shock. In my opinion, a person who practices all of these is my mom. I might be a little bit bias but I feel as though I have the best mother, inspiration, role model, and leader that anyone could ask for and I believe that is how all kids should feel about their parent(s). She has taught me that you can do whatever you put your mind to and no dream is too small. She went from having a beautiful house in a rich community, to nothing at all, to doing the "mere impossible", as the real-estate agent said; and getting herself and family a house all on her own. My mom is my best friend who I can tell anything to, my rock, the best leader in my eyes, everything I hope to become and that is the reason I believe she embodies all the qualities required to become a great leader.
