I step into my car with my mom stepdad and two sisters and grandma. Early morning the windshield was frosted over. As we sat there waiting for it to warm, I looked out my window and the grass was long and unmanaged. And Hailey my older sister stared at me asking me what I was doing. And I replied wanting to go for this 18 hour drive. Finally my grandma Cilla said you guys ready to go. But of course my little sister Cheyenne said she had to pee. On a beautiful clear morning of February the 19th, my mom picked me up from my class at the University of West Georgia, then we went to Waffle House to have a nice breakfast. We left from Waffle House, proceeding down Maple Street, and turned onto South Street and immediately onto Kenner Street. We then turned onto on the merging lane on South Park Street (US Hwy 27) heading south, we immediately halted to a full stop as vehicles moved from the middle lane into the merging lane in front of us, but at that time there were no vehicles behind us. As we waited to enter traffic, a car suddenly struck us from behind which caused the car to jerk violently forward, causing my mother’s chest to hit the steering wheel, and our heads and bodies to whip forward and then back.…

My grandpa, grandma and I made it to the cabin and ran out of the car, I got to the door a while before them. My grandma finally arrived at the door and unlocked it,I was so excited that, at first I didn't know what to do. Then I ran inside and glanced around, in 30 seconds I had surveyed the entire cabin, it turned out to be a little cabin, although still pretty cool. Large enough for the necessities and for a little leg room, very nicely sized. I went outside and took it all in, weeds, weeds, and, oh look, weeds over there too.…

Shortly after I had turned seventeen years I learned a valuable lesson that I would carry on for the rest of my life. I learned that a dream can be turned into a nightmare if you choose instantaneous gratification over delayed gratification. Most people have something they dream of owning and in my case, it was a Honda CRX. I first saw this car when I was fourteen years old and I knew I had to have one. I had been seventeen for a little more than a month when I totaled my first car, a 2003 GMC Yukon.…

My first car was something that I greatly was looking forward to getting as a child and my interest in getting one grew, as the days got closer to my sixteenth birthday. The first car I owned was a Automatic Black 2004 Ford f-150 truck, which I discovered on a website called Craigslist. It was priced at five thousand nine hundred dollars with only eighty-four thousand miles on it, which in my case was great considering that I could only afford a seven thousand dollar car. The truck came with all manual locks and windows and also had a small amount of hail damage that could really only be seen at a certain angle. But even with reasonable price on the truck I still attempted to negotiate for an even lower price to further my luck.…
