The traditional way they ended their concerts was for Tyler to play their hit song ‘Trees’. That was exactly the way it went out. But before the song began, he said the words that I will never completely forget. “ Before I begin this last song, I have to ask. Do you have one more in you?”, he asked the crowd. We did and that was the loudest noise I think any of us in that venue have ever made. Tyler continued, “ That was good. But one more thing, I want you to look over to the person next to you and give them a hug. Because no matter what you’re all here to support me and Josh. And we are grateful for all of you but I want you all to be grateful for each other. I want you to know that you all have each other to depend on. No matter what you’re going through, no matter what your nationality, race, if you like boys or girls, no matter what. Know that you have Josh and myself and you have each other,” we turned and hugged the person next to us. Some of us were in tears because his words hit so close to home. The song began and for the first time that night, not only were we dancing and singing along with the music, we were dancing and singing along with each other. All in sync. This concert changed my life because I have a new perspective on music and the people that surround it. I learned that we’re all in it
