I was driving to my friends house in New Hampshire on a freezing December night. I was really late because I had hit traffic on the way up, but I was getting close now. I had the music up loud and was drinking a coffee so there was no chance of me getting tired and missing a turn or anything. After 2 hours in the car I was so hungry so I went to get my chips out of my bag in the passenger seat then I remember I put them in the back seat. I looked in my mirror and say what looked like a work boot, which obviously wasn't something I would keep in my car. I realized that it wasn't just a shoe there was a person laying in my back seat. I wanted to scream and cry but that would be even more dangerous so I tried to stay calm and find the nearest …show more content…

I called 911 to tell them that someone had been in my car for 2 hours and I had no idea and they're laying on the back seat of my car but I wasn't taken seriously and they hung up. I went outside to check my car and the back door was wide open. I was about to cry, I thought I was losing my mind. Where did he go I wondered. All I can hear are the cars on the highway driving by and the wind whipping. I was so nervous but didn't know what to do, do I get in my car and drive away fast or wait for police to come? I opened up the back door a little more to see if anything was still in my back seat and nothing and no one was there. I went to go grab my other bag in my bag seat and felt like someone was right behind. The man who was in my back seat was right behind me and I had no idea what to do. I turned around and hit him in the stomach before he could do anything. That gave me enough time to run. I started running away and he said with a smile on his face " Don't you want me to come along for the rest of the

Surprisingly, my passion for cars grew when I started mowing lawns at the age of 8. That small two stroke engine was an opening for something bigger. My first car restoration was a 1957 Porsche Speedster 356a. It was a car resting in a grave it made itself with the elements eating away at it. When I finally brought forth its beautiful something would always fail when driving like steering bolt breaks, oil tube blows, and the latest a transmission linkage deteriorates.…

The Art of Writing Writing was not an art for me. I can remember like it was yesterday, those dreaded essays for English Class when I was a first year student in College. I spent endless nights sitting in my room on my tiny bed, in the corner, writing and rewriting my essays, only to receive a “C” on the final draft. I was a shy, quiet girl, who had just graduated from a Catholic High School in Jamaica with great expectations.…

Part One One thing I pride myself on is the way that I look at life. No matter the circumstance, I choose to believe that whatever happens is God’s plan and is happening for a greater reason. I can remember the first time my mom told me that everything happens for a reason, I was very young at the time, I know this because I was taking a bath with my two younger brothers when she got a call saying my great grandpa had passed away. My brothers and I were obviously very confused with the situation, we had a lot of questions, that is when she rubbed my head, told me not to worry, that everything happens for a reason and it would be okay. I think because this was such a sad time, and I felt that I couldn’t talk to anyone because everyone was mourning…

Every time I would push her legs off of me, her legs would wander back to where I was. The whole sleeping part of the road trip was the worst, especially because I love my sleep. Later on, we stopped at a gas station for drinks and snacks.
