I had my clothes ready for weeks, so I could save my procrastinating, indecisive, self from a 45-minute delay. I think its ridiculous that girls take so long to get ready but after two hours of showering to contouring and making sure my highlight is on “fleek,” I slipped on a pair of red, closed toe loafers, checked to make sure my bow in my hair was in the right place and headed out the door. Two hours seemed like it would take forever. But after the laughs, giggles, and the singing until our voice screeched, two hours didn’t seem to take that long. With my hair flopping up and down, and the feeling of motion sickness, I could tell we finally made it to the exit where we would ramp off into the Ames campus. At each light, lanes were full of cars bumper to bumper, trying to get their destination. I couldn’t help but get impatient.
A short, stubby looking man, that reminded me of an oopa lummpa, wearing a neon green vest directed us into a parking area. Slamming the sliding door open of the mini van, I loose my breath as I catch the breeze of the humid, dry air. With my short, chubby tan legs, I hopped out of the van and all eyes are on me, as people look to see who the new comers are. As the wind blew, I directed my attention of the smell of burgers, and hotdogs cooking on the grill next to us, and the sound of music coming from the radio station. That’s when I knew it was game
