“Ok,” I said. Me and the bus driver/canoe (who drove us to the river guy) both picked up the canoe and put it in the water. Then me and my dad jumped in the canoe and waited for the others. After that, the old man dragged the kayak into the river and my grandpa’s friend Rich jumped in. Then the old bus driver got Liam and Rich to drag it in and then we could start off on our adventure.

Once you got past that all you could see was green and brown; brown water, green trees. My grandpa was going on and on about how beautiful it was. “Zach look at how beautiful this is!” “Yes grandpa, never seen anything like it.”
My dad leaned into my ear and said “Thank you, your grandpa has wanted to this for a long time.” and he had. A couple weeks ago when my grandpa told me we were going to do it, he said he been waiting to do this for a long time.
Occasionally, you could see some trash along the river bank and some cement that were dumped on the side of the river. There were a lot of bugs everywhere and I couldn’t stand it. But I had to, because wanted my grandpa to have a good time and I knew this trip meant a lot to him, he’s getting old so soon he won’t be able to do things like this anymore.
About a half an hour later we stopped to go to the bathroom and have some snacks. Rich brought some Combos and some water. It felt good to get some food in me. I was starving.
