The Devon School was once full of life and everyone was happy that is, until I came. The boys really thought they knew who I was but they were completely wrong. This all began at the Devon school I met Gene, Finny, Leper, Brinker, and the other students. At first when I met Gene I was suspicious of him because I felt he was not trustworthy and was conservative. However, I noticed that Finny trusted everyone, including Gene, which he was humble and did not brag about how athletic or cool he was. Leper however, was not as brave and courageous like the others and the most unlikely to enlist in World War II out of everyone else. I met Brinker later and he seemed like the stereotypical kid that was perceived as polite by everyone. However this all changed when I …show more content…
He would just get in my way of chaos and destruction. One reason was that he was weak, crippled and maimed. Only the strongest people that are worthy shall join me. Because I declined his offer, I ruined his life and he became upset and depressed. He was never the same child that he was before I came into his life. This showed how weak, pathetic, and gullible he was to ever think he could actually be a part of me. Another boy from the Devon school that was weak and pathetic that wanted to enlist in me was Leper. When he was watching the videos that his teachers showed him he believed that he was worthy enough to enlist and wanted to join me however, he was in for a big surprise. When he joined, he was shocked to see what I’m really like. He could not eat the food in the mess hall or sleep in bed, only eat and sleep anywhere else except those certain places. I made him lose his mind and hallucinate. He would hallucinate that the corporal turned into a woman and yell at everyone that the corporal transformed into a woman. It was so easy to make him break and lose his

I am so glad I had the priveledge to see the movie, War Room, with my Life Group. I have to admit, since applying Miss Clara's war room, my quality of prayer has greatly improve. This reclusive and scared behaviour during the game outlines Elwin Lepellier’s character. He is also very innocent and is shown to have an interest in nature. While Gene and some other students are shoveling out the railway tracks as part of the war effort, Leper decides to go skiing on his own. Leper explains that he’s “touring” (94) to Gene, and leaves to enjoy himself amidst the manual labour. Born in 1777 in Hanover County, Virginia, I was exposed to American history since I was young. In 1797, I moved to Kentucky along with many others wanting to pursue careers in law and politics. My political career began in 1803 when I was elected to the Kentucky General Assembly then appointed to the U.S. Senate in 1806. I was Secretary of State under John Quincy Adams.…

This term I started out with what I thought was a pretty easy reading goal. My goal was to read at least two hours every week, not counting the time we read at the beginning of English. I read many articles, mostly things from Buzzfeed, and The Onion. I also started rereading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets when I was in school, outside of school I just finished reading A Separate Peace by John Knowles. Overall I don’t think I met my goal, because some weeks I wouldn’t read at all and other weeks I had read for probably fifteen hours or more, and I never had a very consistent reading schedule.…

So it started out as a normal school day and as we were coming back from lunch we all went to the restroom and only six of us got taken. As we were using the restroom Andrew Myers, Jahzara Mckinney, Kadance Gravely, Maddox Lyons, Hayden Elliott, Kaylie Hawks and myself were pulled into the sewers and through a pipe that somehow took us to a island. We were stranded there by ourselves the island was like a forest in a way it has tall redwood trees high grass like the jungle and a beautiful glossering pond. So as we were there we were all panicking then I just got really quiet. We went to bed and the next morning Hayden and Jahzara were fighting over food we had from killing Andrew we had a lot of food left over from yesterday but both Jahzara and Hayden wanted that same piece.…

When I grow up, I want to change the world! Changing the world one day would make me feel really good. Three ways I would change the world are: make sure everyone has a shelter to live in; help more lost, sick, and hurt animals, and make sure no one is hungry. I would like to help homeless people have a nice place to stay. When I’m driving downtown I see a lot of homeless people on the streets; dirty, and sad.…

I was not used to being clueless. Just as for many teenagers, when I got my license a new world was open to me. This was certainly a world where I had more freedom, and I had to learn how to navigate it, in more ways than one. Learning how to communicate with my parents as an adult was not easy. My new found freedom came with the catch of proving to them that I would be responsible and reliable.…

Growing up, I noticed, when approached with conflict, my sisters and my mother would often state that they did not want to talk about it or would simply leave the room. I now have a phrase for this: the exit response. For us, the exit response was always temporary. If the problem was serious, it would eventually be brought back up; if it wasn’t, then things usually got better on its own. While my dad is often the first to use the voice response, I have noticed that my dad often chooses the loyalty response, too.…
