Personal Narrative: A Perfect Day

Improved Essays
It was a perfect day in May on the beach of Florida. The waves spiraled off the dock as smooth as currently cut grass feels on your feet. “ Andrew, Carson, come inside for breakfast!” called carson’s mom.Carson and I were prepared for a big day of fishing on the beach, because nothing beats the smell of the beach on a perfect day like today. As soon as Carson and I strolled in the beach house, we immediately ran to our room to change into our bathing suit. After we changed into our bathing suit, we washed our hands for breakfast. “ Hurry the food feels like it is getting cold! I do not think you want to eat cold food for breakfast.” Stated Carson’s mom.

After Carson and I ate breakfast, we both went back outside to play on the beach.

In the car we played “ I spy “. After that we played a game called “ punch buggy “ . When we arrived at Dolphin Island we instantly grabbed our gear and sprinted to the beach. “ Wait! “ yelled Carson’s dad. “ You still have to put on sunscreen. “ Aw-man. “ stated Carson. I never have liked the feel and smell of it. So slick and smooth. Also, greasy. After we put on sunscreen, then we sprinted to the beach. When we got down to the beach, we set up our fishing places. On my first cast out in the ocean, I caught a super big fish! I was so excited whenever I caught my fish! As soon as I caught my fish, Carson caught his fish. Today has been a really tremendous day of fishing ; but the terrible thought that ran to our attention said that we have to leave tomorrow . When we arrived back at the beach house, carson and I washed up and ate dinner. “Nothing beats a day like today. “ says Carson. “ I always love spending time with my best friend. “ states Carson. When we both got done eating dinner, we went outside to see the beautiful lights out on the bay one last time before we leave to go back home tomorrow

On the coast of the Jersey shore, lies a peaceful coastal city, Ocean City. Ocean city is a safe, dry island in southern New Jersey. The city becomes heavily populous with college students and suburban families as the climate turns from frigid to scorching. Ocean City is where many of my summer days were spent witnessing the gorgeous beach, roaming the board walk, dipping ice cream, and enjoying the day with close friends and family.…

I could smell a batch of freshly made pancakes on the stove and delicious honey smoked bacon on the grill. Polished Brief Have you ever wanted something so bad that you thought it was necessary for your life to go on, for me that something was a pet dog. At the age of seven I was begging my parents to get me a puppy for about a year, the conversations usually sounded like this “ Hey mom and dad I was wondering if I could get a puppy this year for my birthday?” and they would reply “ I don’t know son a dog is a huge responsibility, I don’t know if you are ready for this yet.” then I would storm off all angry, because I did not get the answer I was looking or hoping for.…

It was a gloomy day. I was at our Subdivision’s Local Beach getting ready to swim out to the raft with my four friends. The “raft” as we called it was the bottom end of a Pontoon Boat anchored in the center of Dollar Lake. Occasionally the rain and winds blew it. When my friends arrived we dove into the shallow end of the beach and acquainted our bodies with the cold, late Summer temperature.…

It was a scorching summer afternoon around three o’ clock PM at J.D Redd Park. I was anxiously waiting in third base for the batter to approach the plate and smack the yarn covered ball just enough for me to make it to the home plate. As the sun hits my face I see the pitcher retract his right arm getting ready to throw it. As I see the ball leave the pitcher’s hand, I breathed in the humid air, making preparations to sprint as fast as I could and make it to the home plate. Before I could even gather my thoughts the ball departed from the pitcher’s hand and into the bat of one of the members of my team.…

The day seemed to drag on and on, as I waited, counting down the days to California. It was a humid, sunny afternoon down at the Alton pool, where I usually spend most of my summer days working as a lifeguard. Today was very different than most…. And maybe the reason why was because it was my last day of work before I flew off to the big L.A. Most days at the pool the time went by slower than any I have ever known, with the scorching hot sun burning my skin, and little kids yelling at their friends telling each other secrets or what they want to play next.…
