Personal Narrative: A Memory Of Miss Cc's Class

Improved Essays
A memory I have from Miss CC’s class was Jay’s reaction when he ate the really sour lemon after we learned how to garnish. Another memory from Miss CC’s class was when Mackenzie Wallace said that the “Protein Guy’s” muscles were bigger than her future.

A memory that I have from a different class was when Mr. Lord pretended to be his son throwing a fit and started to roll around on the floor.

A memory with my family was when I got my new Paint horse, Cherokee.

At my 13th birthday party, my really small friend, Aleah, was holding onto a baseball bat. I wanted to use it, and she wouldn’t let go, so I picked up the bat and started to carry it around while she held onto it.

One of my favorite teachers was Cortanee Caugherty. She always tried to be friends with her students, and acted like a student herself. But, she could also be very caring and talk to us on an emotional level. Another favorite teacher was Tim Lord. He always joked around in class, and made really bad jokes to help us memorize our lessons. One more favorite teacher of mine is Gretchen Cooper, because she always got side-tracked and started to tell us stories. She was very sassy, and always told students off when they back-sassed her.

My short term goal is to help all of my teachers this year become less stressed out.

My long term goal is to go to college, and graduate.

When I grow up, I want to become a structural engineer.

My nicknames are EmJ and

In Sarah E. Newton’s article, ““The Jell-O Syndrome”: Investigating Popular Culture/Foodways,” she focuses on Jell-O and the connections it has with folklore and popular culture. It begins with the argument that Jell-O has received relatively little attention for the amount of influence it has had. She claims that it is the only commercial food to cross regional and ethnic lines (Newton 250). Newton makes several bold claims at the beginning of her article. One of these claims is, “To many of us, Jell-O is America – or certainly at least the Midwest, which to food marketing executives may amount to the same thing” (Newton 251).…

Super Size Me is a movie based on Morgan Spurlock, who stars and directs the movie, and his journey to eat strictly McDonald’s. This movie was created in 2004 before large amounts of intensive research were conducted pertaining to the health of McDonald’s foods. Spurlock decides to challenge himself to eat each item on the McDonald’s menu at least once for a month, and only McDonalds-no exceptions. He devoted 30 days of his life to this “Super-Size” challenge, to study what the effects of eating McDonalds (or fast food in general) were. Before Morgan Spurlock began this experiment, he consulted with several doctors to provide concrete evidence of the effects of fast food on the body.…

The girls embark in a prank war among their cabins, which feature sticky syrup, whipped cream, and water balloons. The creativity Hallie and Annie show during the scene is not only hysterical, but noteworthy as well. The prank war was one of many comical situations that happened in the movie.…
