I would like to replace these meals with home cooked meals that help me meet the national recommended serving for meats, fruits, and vegetables. By the end of the long term goal, I would like to be eating healthy home cooked meals four to five times a day. Three obstacles to changing this behavior would be the convenience of eating out for lunch and dinner. Another obstacle would be the lack of healthy foods in my household. Let me start off my saying that this was a very eye-opening experience for me. Although I found it difficult to record everything I would eat for a whole seventy-two hours, this activity has showed me that I really need to make some changes to my diet. However, the most difficult part of this whole process was probably the actual recording my food intake. Every time I would sit down to eat something, whether it was a whole meal or a small snack, I would have to pull out my phone and record every specific thing I ingested. The primary tool I found most useful was the My Fitness Pal app, as it gave me both the macronutrient totals and calorie total for almost every food I ate.…

For the Nutrition tracker, I decided to use the website My Fitness Pal. I used this site because I have already been using it to track my consumption for the last few weeks as I try to increase my overall health. In my opinion, my diet this week was very disappointing with respect to my diet goals. My diet was severely lacking with respect to its completeness. For the most part I had no real fruits or vegetables, the only consumption of those food groups came as a topping on my burger or other main entrees.…

I believe that my short term goal helped me reach my long term goal of not eating out at all. The reason why my strategies helped me achieve my goal was because I made sure they were realistic and achievable for this semester 's time frame. My best procedure was packing my own lunch or snacks before I left the house for work because I was not tempted to eat out, also leaving my money at home so that I won’t be able to spend it on fast food. These really helped me…

The sickness that I live with is one that some would find excessively appalling, making it impossible to talk about; so I kept it to a whisper. This sickness I thought was to embarrassing to talk about, making it impossible to seek help, left me feeling alone in the dark. This sickness ruined friendships, without me realizing it. This sickness that made getting out of bed a struggle for me. This sickness made it impossible for me to see a positive future, until the day I stopped calling myself “crazy” and began to grow from what we all call, depression.…

The fourth week for the exercise provided me that I did not eat at all when it comes to a fast food place location, there was one point during the week where I was tempted to eat out at a fast food place. This was because I was on my way to work and didn’t have time to make food at my residence. During this time of wanting to eat fast food, there was extra food at my workplace, and I did not end up stopping at Taco bell before work. During this time, I felt a lot healthier and being aware of what I am consuming; this is because I am picking up healthy food when I go to the grocery store and the aspect of being in control of the foods that I decided to make. I have never felt like this before when it comes to my food consumption and am glad I picked this exercise of not eating fast food.…
