I joined a few more groups and began to present myself better. I learned how to have a voice of my own and I used it to make others appreciate me. I learned that with a unique and influential voice, I could achieve more than any other person in my grade. I talked to the National Honor Society advisor in order to appeal. I wrote the essay required and summited it to her. After another week of being tormented with exaggerated apologies by my peers for my rejection, I was officially accepted.
Being denied helped me realize my true potentials and made me desire to strive to be my utmost best. Not only did I become a member, but I also ultimately became the President of the National Honor Society. I was running against some of the same friends that initially pitied my denial, producing the initial loss to influence me to become a natural helper that desires to help everyone.
