R5 Performance Analysis

R5 is a family band made up by Riker, Rydel, Rocky, and Ross Lynch along with their close friend Ellington Ratliff. Riker Lynch is known for being a Warbler on the show Glee and being a contestant on the previous season of Dancing with the Stars. Ross is mainly known for playing Austin on the Disney channel show Austin and Ally. I have actually been to one of their live performances at the Granada in Lawrence, KS about three years ago when they weren’t quite as popular and had a great time there. What is so great about their concerts is how much fun they are having while on stage. They interact with each other on stage that is fun to see and experience. I think that is the main thing that they are trying to achieve in their concerts. They are just having a really fun time playing their music with each other and for the people at the concert. I think they just want the people there to have just as much fun in the crowd as they are on stage. They do this by having a ton of energy on stage that you just can’t help feel either. Even watching the video now, you can tell the crowd is eating it up and having a blast at the concert.

They do a good job of changing their sound, not a lot, but enough not to feel like every song sounds the same like some other bands do. The band does write their own music so almost every song that they perform at their concerts are original. The audience always seems to react very positively towards their songs. The second they start playing a song the audience starts screaming their approval. Then you can hear the audience singing along with the band and when they finish their song, the audience again applauds and screams their approval. I don’t think there wasn’t one song that the audience didn’t react well to throughout the whole
