Personal Narrative: A Factory-Made Shoes For My Baby

Have you ever put a pair of those tiny store-bought shoes on your baby, then watched as they struggled to lift their feet, and keep them flat on the floor? Then, as soon as you take those clunky shoes off, your little one takes off with no problems walking or running.

Learning to walk is hard enough, but the factory-made shoes only made it worse. I wanted something different for my baby, so I bought a pair of leather baby moccasins. When I put them on my child, I was amazed at how she was able to walk and toddle about without struggling.

First of all, factory-made shoes don’t fit properly, plus the thick rubber soles are a barrier between the baby’s feet and the floor. However, leather baby moccasins have thin soles that mold to the child's feet, allowing the child to be able to sense the floor. I found that handmade leather baby shoes are better for my baby’s feet and made learning to walk much easier.

The craftsman makes sure every stitch is in the correct place. An artisan making handmade leather baby shoes, creates them in multiple stages, creating a finer fit by giving time for the leather to rest and breathe.

Today we are well aware of the fact that factories damage our environment by over producing products and in the long-run wasting valuable resources. While factories save money buying inferior synthetic material in mass, sacrificing quality to attain quantity cheaply. In order to make shoes faster, factories add stiffeners to the material reducing the strength and longevity of the material.

In the end, we have known for centuries that leather baby moccasins are better for babies, keeping their feet, ankles, and legs healthier, along with making learning to walk easier. Buying handmade leather baby shoes means you are putting premium quality shoes, made with loving care on your baby’s
