Personal Narrative: A Dog's Preferences

I, Mandy Flores, was cashiering at the registers when the male and female customers we were extra customer servicing approached the cash registers and asked for their backpacks. Upon grapping their backpacks the guy and girl were near the door way and one of them set off our sensormatic alarms. I had the guy step in the doorway and it was him that was setting off the alarm. At this time, Maegan asked over the radio if everything was okay and this is when I called Diana/ Employee 4. Diana was nearby and helped assess the situation. I asked the guy if he had anything of ours and he said no. The girl stated maybe it’s his cell phone. I told her no and the guy began taking of his zip up jacket and emptying his pockets. He said no. I had him lift his pant leg and at that moment I realized I needed to finish taking care of my customers in line. When stepping back I said we need to figure out why you are setting off the alarms can you lift your pant leg again inside out so I can see. This is when we found that he had a second pair of pants on. I asked him if they were our pants and he said no he doubled up because it has been cold at night. I said I’m pretty sure those are our pants, so can you please cooperate and give them back. He started to walk with Diana and I, and we asked if he could please come upstairs. He said no I will cooperate like said and go to the fitting room to give you your pants back. We made it near the fitting rooms when Diana informed him we do prosecute.
