“Get your ass from here,” the police officer said. I took my car keys from his hand, and I unintentionally dropped them because my whole body was shaking as if it were 32 degrees out side but with fears burning in my stomach. I slowly bent over and took the keys from the floor and walked to my car. My car was three feet away from where I was standing, but it felt if it were as far as the North Pole is from the South Pole. Even when I walked, I felt as if I were carrying a big rock in my back that caused me to walk as slow as a turtle. When I reached the car, I opened the driver’s door and found out all my papers I had inside the glove box were scattered everywhere inside the car. I did not even bother to move them away; instead, I sat on them and turned the car on and drove away. I drove one mile away from where the incident happened and then stopped at a gas station and immediately called my father. I had more than 20 missed calls on my phone from him. I told him what happened, and then I went inside the station where I quickly drank water to calm down before paying for it.
