Personal Narrative: A Day In Dark Air

It was a cold day in Darkland, cold as a vampire’s heart. It was another day of sacrifice, happiness, and relief for the Head Of Darkland and a day of grief for the citizens. It was the day of the messenger. This day involves worryness and hiding because the messenger and HOD makes their decisions on the one person leaving each family. The world darkland is a vampire world that’s cruel and untrustworthy. Most people keep their secrets away so they won’t get taken by the messenger, but the truth will soon come out. It’s not easy living in Darkland, especially with a messenger. It was a typical day in Darkland for Grayson Harrando he was standing on the front of his lawn getting ready to walk to the local blood cafe, but something stood out to him. Grayson knew why they did this because they had a big population and the more vampire’s the more blood.He remembered learning it a few weeks ago in his 10th grade class. The teacher also told the class not to tell why the taking happens to any of their siblings under the age 16 because the law requires it.
Waking up early wasn’t hard for Grayson, but this day was different. It was taking day. The day of the messenger picking the ones to lower the population.
“You ready Grayson!” Grayson’s mom Darece shouted up the stairs.
“Yeah!” Grayson shouted back.
Grayson and his mom left out the house to the taking ceremony leaving his sister at home. Another thing he learned in his 10th grade class was that the children under 16 couldn’t be taken, because that will not help with starting another generation when taking people out from
