Personal Narrative: A Day In Big Cypress, Florida

Superior Essays
It was a bright summer morning in Big Cypress, Florida. The green palm trees were swaying and the bright blue rivers were peaceful. The long and large alligators were swimming. You could see them bobbing up and down, so all of the tourists could take quick pictures of them. There was a steady flow of people going in and out of the small, worn down nature center. As my family walked out of the car, we took in the sweet scent of Florida in the spring. We all were been in the car for a very long time, driving down from Michigan. As we walked down the wooden boardwalk looking over the little stream of alligators, my whole family started to got a little bored. We couldn’t see any of the alligators!

“Those alligators are cool!” T.J exclaimed. T.J is my older brother. He had dirty blonde hair that looked like he threw it on. He was tall like my dad. He had light, brown eyes, and freckles on his face. Right after T.J made that remark, I could see the look on my other brother, Ryan’s eyes. Ryan was my younger brother. He has to same color hair as T.J, and brown eyes. He is small and thin, with a few freckles here and there on his face. I felt bad because the rest of my family had found alligators, but he hasn’t seen any of them.

It had all started when I got accepted to a summer program in Washington D.C to attend a medical forum.…

Many people believe that Eastern Oregon is void of beauty. The mountains are bare and the air is dry. However, if these folks would follow me to the Snake River for a fishing trip, I think they’d change their minds. If they were to join me on the river, they’d hear the sound of motor boats traveling up the water, and they’d smell the engine exhaust and hear the laughter of the fishermen.…
