Personal Narrative: A Day At Skidmore High School

One cool fall day a new family moved into the small town of Skidmore, Missouri. Skidmore is one of those small towns where everyone knows each other. Not one family has moved in or out of Skidmore in over twenty years. The Smith family bought the ole’ Miller mansion. They knew it would need some renovations but decided to move in while they updated the already gorgeous home. Moving away from everything you know is scarey, but moving in the middle of the school year as a freshman only makes it that much worse. Since Skidmore is such a small town the Smiths had neighbors coming over all the time to introduce themselves. The freezer and fridge was packed full of homemade meals and desserts before the Smiths had even had a chance to go grocery shopping. Emma started to feel more at home the more neighbors she met. As she walked up to the doors of the school she felt an overwhelming feeling of terror. She knew she would be the only stranger in the whole school and that terrified her. She walked up to the office and was greeted with a friendly smile. The secretary gave Emma a tour around the school and introduced her to all the schools staff. After the tour Emma began to feel more comfortable with the new school. As they made their way back to the office Emma seen a familiar face, it was Mr. Williams.
